Completed on time and in budget while maintaining existing facility operations, this $16.5 million, 70,326 SF expansion includes two components; a detention center expansion and courtroom addition. The expanded detention center features an additional 360 inmate beds, medical building, outdoor covered recreation area and renovations to portions of existing facilities. The 7,300 SF courtroom addition ties into the existing jail and features a judge chambers, public defender’s office and jury deliberation room. On site crews were also required to update on site security systems.

Moss provided several months of preconstruction consulting services to ensure all budgets, schedules and logistical requirements were addressed prior to beginning work in the field. The project represented one of 20 facilities that Moss executives have constructed for Corrections Corporation of America throughout the United States.
