Guides for optimizing the use of JobSite123®

For the BUYER'S Side

Here are some helpful user tips for those professionals responsible for preconstruction, cost estimating, bid-packaging, purchasing, and other related administrative activities.

  1. REGISTER
    Start by becoming a Registered User on JobSite123® so that you can access all of the additional features and functionality available at no cost to you.

  2. INSTRUCT YOUR SUBCONTRACTORS
    Send an invitation to Build a Company Qual-Port™ to all of the specialty contractors, material suppliers and other industry professionals who are already prequalified to do business with you.  Even though you already have them prequalified - you still need to maintain current qualifications information from them over time.  When these companies maintain a Qual-Port™ on JobSite123® - you will have access to all of these changes instantly.  (Note: You will see a helpful email link for this request located on your Welcome Page once you have registered.)

  3. INSTRUCT THE SUBS OF YOUR SUBS
    Instruct your specialty contractors to send the same invitation to Build a Company Qual-Port™ to all their subcontractors who are working on your projects.  Be sure to have them send you a link to each of their respective Qual-Ports™ when they are started and/or complete.

  4. MAKE IT A REQUIREMENT
    Make tips #2 and #3 a requirement to do business with you.  This will ensure that you have immediate access to everyone's current qualifications, and the on-going changes to their information, in real time.

  5. ORGANIZE YOUR LIVE FILE
    When you receive a Qual-Port™ link - you will be able to open it and add that company to your Live File of industry resources.  This will give you easy access to everyone's Qual-Port™ information every time you logon to JobSite123®.  Whenever that company updates their information (e.g. a change in their insurance coverage) - the links in your Live File will reflect those changes.  You can organize your Live File to reflect approved and pending resources.

  6. CONFIRM BASIC INFORMATION
    You can use our company Qual-Ports™ to confirm important basic information about a particular company, such as their:

    • Scope of Services by CSI Code
    • Applicable Project Experience
    • Insurance Coverage
    • Bonding Capacity
    • Licenses & Certifications
    • Banking & Credit References

  8. REQUEST UPDATES
    From your Live File, you can go directly to a company Qual-Port where you can simply click on the Request to Update button.  This will send a message to the Qual-Port™ owner directing them to update their information ASAP.  You can even customize the message to reflect the exact type of information that needs to be updated.   Remember - this process is extremely helpful to them as well.  Instead of them exchanging information on a 1:1 basis with all of their clients - they can make changes in their Qual-Port™ once and then everyone has access to those changes instantly.

  9. SEARCH FOR NEW RESOURCES
    Search in JobSite123® for potential new contractors and other related professionals that may be a good fit for your construction projects.  You can search by exact company name OR by geography and CSI Code.  A complete and robust Qual-Port™ will allow you to answer 90% of our industry's most commonly requested prequalification information.

  10. CREATE YOUR OWN QUAL-PORT™
    Create your own company Qual-Port™ on JobSite123® and share it with your clients and supporting colleagues (e.g. facilities managers, real estate developers, program managers, architects, engineers, etc.).  Show them that you are being proactive in your efforts to provide them with the most current qualifications related information for your company.

  11. ADD YOUR QUAL-PORT™ ADDRESS TO ALL COMMUNICATIONS
    Your Qual-Port™ comes with an easy to remember website address:

    Add links to this address on all company email signatures, your company website, business cards, marketing materials, etc. This will ensure that anyone looking at your company can easily find the most up to date and qualified information about your company.

For the SELLER'S Side

Here are some helpful user tips for those professionals responsible for business development, marketing and sales oriented activities.

  1. REGISTER
    Start by becoming a Registered User on JobSite123® so that you can access all of the additional features and functionality available at no cost to you.

  2. CREATE YOUR QUAL-PORT™
    Create and maintain a fully complete Qual-Port™ on JobSite123®.  The standardized Qual-Port™ templates represent the precise information that facilities managers, real estate developers, program managers and other owner representatives need in order to maintain an existing or potential working relationship with you.

  3. SEND A LINK TO YOUR EXISTING CLIENTS
    You can easily share your Qual-Port™ with clients and colleagues. Just click on the Share My Qual-Port™ link and enter one or more email addresses.  This will send them a direct link to your Qual-Port™ home page.  JobSite123® helps you to be proactive in meeting your clients' increasing expectations for fast information - without them having to ask you for it.  By completing and maintaining your Qual-Port™ on JobSite123®, you are ensuring that all of your existing clients have immediate access to your current qualifications information in real time.

  4. SEND A LINK TO YOUR PROSPECTIVE NEW CLIENTS
    You can easily share your Qual-Port™ with prospective clients and new colleagues.  Just click on the Share My Qual-Port™ link and enter one or more email addresses.  This will send them a direct link to your Qual-Port™ home page.  If your Qual-Port™ is robustly complete - they will be able to determine immediately if you are a company that is qualified to do business with their organization, and/or qualified for a certain project type.

  5. BUILD YOUR INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS
    JobSite123® allows you to showcase all of your industry connections.  Let's say you have 40 colleagues within your local market, and they would all be more than happy to say good things about your company if asked, or they would readily express that they have had success working alongside you in the industry.  Simply send all of your trusted peers and supporters an invitation to Create an Industry Connection and when they accept, you will be automatically featured in each other's Qual-Ports™. You have now increased your exposure 40 times within our search engine.

  6. SEEK RATINGS &TESTIMONIALS
    JobSite123® allows you to Request Ratings and Testimonials from existing clients, so that prospective new clients can see them without having to ask for them.  Therefore your existing referrals and recommendations will be hard at work for you 24/7.

  7. COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY
    JobSite123® allows you to request Industry Connections, and Ratings & Testimonials from your colleagues and clients.  Easy to follow email templates are provided to help get you started. But don't just stop there.  Personalize the email request so that it references the name of a key manager(s) or individual within your organization that will be most recognized by the recipient of your request (e.g.   If you are sending these requests on behalf of your boss or a department head - you should indicate their names in the email text body to increase the effectiveness of your request.)

  8. INSTRUCT YOUR SUBCONTRACTORS

  9. UPDATE REGULARLY
    Update your Qual-Port™ on a regular basis.  Be sure all of the information in all of the templates is current.  Pay particular attention to your Current Projects and Completed Projects information - as this is the fastest and easiest way for prospective new clients to determine whether or not you are qualified to serve as the general contractor for their particular project(s).
